We are sharing information on a research project that is seeking caregivers of children with congenital hyperinsulinism as well as adults living with congenital hyperinsulinism to participate in a research project facilitated by VPMR (a 3rd party market research firm). The research is intended to understand each individual’s personal experience with congenital hyperinsulinism and gain their perspective on a potential new therapy in development.
Market research by companies (including biotechs working on new medical treatments) is common practice as a way to receive unbiased opinions from a certain community of interest. Therefore, it is important to not identify the specific product being discussed during this study.
Eligible Participants
Participation in the research is open to adults and caregivers of children living with hyperinsulinism who currently reside in the U.S.
Procedure
Selected participants will be sent a videoconference link for a 60-minute individual interview during the months of March, April or May 2025. You do not need to be on camera, however, the ability to view a shared computer screen will be necessary. You can change your videoconference display name to just your first name or a chosen pseudonym (e.g., participant) – the display name is how you will be referred to during the call. VPMR will review the purpose of the call and will start recording. You will have the opportunity to provide consent to be recorded or to leave the call at that time. All responses will remain confidential. The research moderator from VPMR will guide the interview and additional team members from VPMR or their client may also listen in on the call.
Please note there are no right or wrong answers to the questions. We look forward to hearing your perspective!
Information from the call will be used by VPMR to create a de-identified report that will be shared with their client.
