2024 Family Conference in Liverpool

We are excited to announce that registration for the 2024 Congenital Hyperinsulinism Family Conference at the Hilton Liverpool City Center in Liverpool, UK is open! The conference is being organized by Congenital Hyperinsulinism International (CHI) with the Children’s Hyperinsulinism Charity UK (CHC).

As of October 8, the hotel reservation list is full. If you would like to be added to the waitlist, please add your reservation information in your registration form and we will contact you if space is available to stay at the hotel as soon as we can. You do not need to stay at the hotel to attend the conference.

We are pleased that CHI and CHC will be joined in Liverpool by world-renowned physicians, researchers, congenital hyperinsulinism (HI) specialists, HI family members, and HI advocacy leaders. Many of these experts will present at the conference, providing invaluable insights into the condition. In addition to the informative presentations, we have also planned interactive sessions where individuals and families affected by HI can come together to share their stories and experiences.

Attending the CHI Family Conferences presents an incredible opportunity to expand your knowledge about all aspects of HI and to connect with members of the global HI community. This is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to learn from one another and form meaningful connections within the global HI community.

The conference will start with a welcome reception at the Hilton Liverpool City Center on Thursday evening, November 14, 2024. Conference sessions will take place at the hotel during the day on Friday, November 15, and during the morning of Saturday, November 16. On Friday evening, there will also be a conference dinner for all attendees.

Special programming for young adults, teens, and children will also be available during conference sessions, as well as babysitting.

Registration

Thanks to generous sponsors and donors, registration for the conference is free for all HI families, patients, doctors, and researchers, including program registration and admission to all conference sessions, lunch and dinner on Saturday, and lunch on Sunday.

We ask that you register here as soon as possible but no later than October 25, 2024.

Hotel Information

As noted above, the hotel reservation list is full and a waitlist has been created. As a reminder, you do not need to stay at the hotel to attend the conference.

CHI has reserved a block of rooms at the conference venue, the Hilton Liverpool City Center. If you would like to be added to the room block, please indicate this on your registration. You will be charged for your room at check-in.

Room rates are as follows:

  • Thursday, November 14: £165.00
  • Friday, November 15: £295.00
  • Saturday, November 16: £295.00

If you have more than two adults in a room, we will confirm the room charge with you before we book your room.

HI Patient/Family Hotel Room Scholarships

There are limited scholarships for HI families needing financial support and traveling from out of town to stay at the hotel the nights of November 14 and 15 while attending the conference. Families interested in these scholarships should indicate this on their registration form and fill out our online scholarship form by October 1, 2024. If awarded a scholarship, CHI will reserve the rooms for these families.
