Now, as one of the premier programs in the country, Cook Children’s Hyperinsulinism Center has cured more than 90 percent of our focal CHI patients.
As one of the premier programs in the country, Cook Children’s Hyperinsulinism Center has a world renowned team that’s devoted to providing quality, family-centered care to the children we serve. Our highly skilled, multidisciplinary team includes physicians specializing in endocrinology, pediatric surgery, neonatology, neurology, gastroenterology, pathology and radiology. Our team is supported by a dedicated CHI nurse practitioner, social worker, clinical therapist, Child Life specialist, nutritionists and feeding and speech therapists. Together, this team works closely with patients and families to provide the most effective treatment plan possible.
