Diazoxide Research Study

Share Your Experience with Diazoxide and HI in a Paid Interview-Only Research Study

Have you or your child ever used diazoxide? If so, you may qualify to take part in a non-treatment interview study where you can share your experience with diazoxide and any related side effects.

Who Can Participate?

  • Caregivers of individuals with HI who are currently or were previously on diazoxide
  • Adults with HI who are currently or were previously on diazoxide
  • Individuals with HI (ages 8-17) who are currently or were previously on diazoxide (accompanied by a caregiver)

For younger participants (8 to 17 years old), we ask that a caregiver accompany them on the interview. The interviews for this group are tailored with age-appropriate questions, crafted with the help of a psychologist.

What’s Involved?

The interviews will take place online and will last up to 60 minutes for adult participants (18 years old +) and up to 30 minutes for younger participants (8-17 years old). The interviews will be conducted in English and are open to individuals within the US and internationally. Individuals who participate will receive a $125 e-gift card. Individuals who are participating as dyads (caregivers and their children) will receive a $200 total e-gift card ($75 for the child’s 30-minute interview and $125 for the 60-minute caregiver interview).

Additional Requirements

Additionally, we ask that all participants (or their caregivers) complete the HI Global Registry (HIGR) surveys; if already completed, the last completion date must be within the previous year.

Participation is limited and on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are interested in participating, please fill out this form. Your experiences are crucial in helping us understand how to improve treatments and we are so excited about the potential insights these interviews can bring to the HI community!

This project is being conducted by the CHI research team and clinician researchers at CHI Centers of Excellence in consultation with the HIGR steering committee. The project is funded by Rezolute Pharmaceuticals. All research decisions and analyses will be conducted by the CHI team.
