On September 8-9, 2016 Congenital Hyperinsulinism International (CHI) and Necker Hospital will hold the 2016 Paris Congenital Hyperinsulinism Family Conference at the FIAP in Paris.
World-renowned physicians, researchers, and specialists who treat children with congenital hyperinsulinism (HI), and parent and patient advocacy leaders will be speaking and attending the conference. There will also be opportunities for HI families to meet and share experiences with other HI families. Members of the medical community and industry partners with an interest in HI are also invited to attend. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn more about all aspects of the condition and to meet and get to know members of the HI community.
The conference will include sessions on:
- Treatment options for HI
- Understanding the genetics of HI
- New guidelines for evaluating and managing HI
- Managing HI at school
- Feeding issues and nutrition
- HI research into new treatments
- Transitions with HI or diabetes
- Advocating for HI patients
- Living with HI from the patient family perspective

The Conference will be held at FIAP Jean Monnet Paris, a conference, cultural center, and hostel in the 14th District of Paris. The location is excellent, 20 minutes from the Latin Quarter, the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower. Singles are $93 and doubles are $125. Family rooms are also available. Breakfast is included.
In addition to the day sessions, there will be a dinner meeting at FIAP on September 8.
Parents of children with HI, adults with HI, pediatric endocrinologists and nurses, industry members, and others interested in HI are invited to register. The cost of the conference is $25 per person. There is no charge for children 2 years old or younger.
Babysitting will be available for children in a separate room at FIAP close to the meeting room. Parents will be responsible for feeding and medical care of their children. Please contact jraskin@congenitalhi.org if you are requesting babysitting.
