We are still glowing from our experience of meeting so many wonderful families, patients, doctors, and carers in Australia at the first Congenital Hyperinsulinism International Family Meeting Days in Brisbane from August 4-6, 2023. It was a fabulous event with fantastic information shared by the speakers and attendees alike. It was wonderful to see our past and current CHI Board of Trustee members, Margaret Maher and Erin Greaves, in person as well.
We want to thank Dr. Louise Conwell of Queensland Children’s Hospital and CHI BOT Member Erin Greaves for their help in creating this fantastic event. Also, thank you to our presenters Karen Bragg, Michelle Fuery, Davelyn Hood, Dr. Helen Liley, Loredie Lugos, Margaret Maher, Dr. Craig McBride, Dr. Craig Munns, and Shawn Tadgell. And a very big thank you to our event sponsor, Rezolute.
Below, you can find highlights from the Meeting Days, including PDFs of the presentations and a slide show of photos from the weekend. We have also included a few helpful links to resources on congenital hyperinsulinism and rare diseases in Australia. We hope to add more resources to this page in the coming months. Please let us know if there is something you would like us to add by emailing Jennifer Schmitt at jschmitt@congenitalhi.org.
