Our 2025 Congenital Hyperinsulinism Family Conference in Philadelphia, PA, was a huge success! It was an incredible experience to gather with 160 attendees and 37 hyperinsulinism families from across the country! The conference was organized by Congenital Hyperinsulinism International (CHI) and the Congenital Hyperinsulinism Center at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and took place from October 3-5, 2025.
The CHI staff, the CHOP Congenital Hyperinsulinism Center team, additional world-renowned physicians, researchers, congenital hyperinsulinism (HI) specialists, HI family members, and CHI advocacy leaders presented at the conference. There were also interactive sessions where HI families shared their stories and experiences. View the Conference Agenda here.

We kicked off the conference with a wonderful Meet and Greet on Friday evening at the Sheraton, where longtime friends reconnected and new bonds were formed.
Saturday was packed with insightful sessions—an educational marathon covering vital topics in hyperinsulinism care, advocacy, groundbreaking research, and community support and awareness. We also heard moving and heartfelt HI-stories.
We also met in small groups and shared our experiences, gaining insights from each other. While the adults learned together, the children were busy at play and creativity with our fantastic sitters.
Special thanks to Dr. Diva De León-Crutchlow and the Hyperinsulinism Center Team for their help in organizing the conference and making it such a memorable and meaningful weekend.
