Giro del Vino IX:
Cycling Through Wine Country
with Congenital Hyperinsulinism International
Congenital Hyperinsulinism International (CHI) is honored to be the beneficiary of this year’s Giro del Vino, the premier fall cycling classic hosted by the TnT Cycling Club of New Jersey. Join us, along with 200+ cyclists, on Sunday, October 4, 2026, for an unforgettable day of riding, community, and celebration — all in support of families affected by congenital hyperinsulinism (HI). The ride will begin at 8 AM and our post-ride festivities will wrap up by 1 PM, but you are welcome to stay longer.
Ride Through the Best of South Jersey
The Giro del Vino offers three scenic route option (25, 45, or 63 miles) each beginning and ending at the beautiful White Horse Winery in Hammonton, NJ. Riders will enjoy flat, lightly traveled roads that wind through the picturesque South Jersey countryside. All routes are clearly marked, available for download on Ride with GPS, and fully supported by SAG volunteers from a local bike shop.
Along the way, cyclists can refuel at fully stocked rest stops, hosted by Belleview Winery in Landisville and Coda Rossa Winery in Franklinville.
More Than a Ride: A Day for the HI Community
This event isn’t just about cycling — it’s about coming together for the HI community. Whether you’re riding or not, we invite HI families, supporters, and friends to be part of the day. A lively cheering section makes all the difference as riders return to the winery, and your presence helps amplify CHI’s mission.
The pre- and post-ride celebrations at White Horse Winery will take place outdoors and everyone is invited. In addition to wine from the winery, non-alcoholic beverages and food options will be available for purchase from local food trucks onsite, making the celebration enjoyable for everyone.
A Celebration at the Finish Line
Cyclist Registration includes a post-ride celebration at White Horse Winery featuring:
- A complimentary glass of wine
- A souvenir wine glass
- A long-sleeved event T-shirt for early registrants
After the ride, enjoy food trucks, live entertainment, and a relaxing afternoon at one of New Jersey’s most stunning winery venues. Everyone is encouraged to stay and enjoy the celebration.
Registration for cyclists is now open! Sign up today to secure your spot. Early registration is $60. Registration fees increase as we get closer to the event date. More detailed timing and ride start schedules will be shared closer to the event.
Volunteer and Make an Impact
Volunteers are essential to making the Giro del Vino IX a success. Opportunities will be available throughout the day for those who want to lend a hand, support riders, or help with the celebration. Volunteer roles range from short shifts at rest stops, route support along the way to helping welcome riders at the finish — no cycling experience required.

As a New Jersey-based nonprofit, CHI invites community and corporate partners to help make Giro del Vino IX a success. With typically more than 200 riders participating, this offers sponsors meaningful visibility while directly supporting our mission_ raising awareness, providing support, and advancing research to improve the lives of babies, children, and adults impacted by HI. HI is a rare condition that causes severe, persistent low blood sugar, which can result in neurologic disability or death if not identified and managed almost immediately after birth.
