Global Hyperinsulinism Awareness Day

2026 HI Day

June 7, 2026

Congenital Hyperinsulinism International (CHI) is excited to observe Global Hyperinsulinism Awareness Day on Sunday, June 7, 2026, for the third year in a row. We invite you to be part of this important global movement!

Together, we can raise awareness, share our stories, and shine a light on congenital hyperinsulinism (HI).

About the Campaign: “7 Things for June 7”

This year, we’re spreading awareness through a simple and powerful idea:

“7 Things for June 7”

It’s a fun, engaging way to tell the world about hyperinsulinism and the people it impacts, while building connection across our community.

How to Participate

We invite you to share 7 things about your journey with hyperinsulinism. You can include:

  • Your personal experience living with/managing HI
  • Your child’s story (if applicable)
  • Daily challenges and triumphs
  • What you wish others understood about HI
  • Messages of hope, resilience, or advocacy

Don’t forget to include a photo!

Visuals help bring your story to life and make a powerful impact.

Optional: You’re also welcome to record your response as a short video. We would love to feature your voice!

Please send your responses with a photo (or video) and your/your child’s name to CHI Communications Associate Lily Barnett (lbarnett@congenitalhi.org).

Why This Matters

By sharing your 7 things, you help:

  • Increase understanding of congenital hyperinsulinism
  • Highlight the urgent need for earlier diagnosis and timely treatment
  • Advocate for better therapies and research
  • Build community among families, patients, clinicians, and supporters
Every story shared helps create a more informed and compassionate world.

Join Us

On June 7, stand with the global HI community by sharing your “7 Things” and helping raise awareness far and wide.
