2022 Congenital Hyperinsulinism December Research Days

CHI December Research Days

We are excited to extend an invitation to the entire congenital hyperinsulinism community to register for the 2022 Congenital Hyperinsulinism December Research Days. From December 2, 2022, until January 2, 2023, we will feature recorded presentations, booths, and posters highlighting the latest congenital hyperinsulinism research and resources from around the world.

The event site opened on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 9:00 AM Eastern US Time. The site will be fully functional at that time, and the presentations will be available to watch on demand. During the week of December 5-9, 2022, we will have live “office hour” events in the exhibit booths. This may include presentations and live Q&A depending on the booth. There will be a schedule of office hours available in the event site. The site will remain open through Monday, January 2, 2023, at 11:59 PM Eastern US time for you to rewatch and revisit the site at your convenience during the busy month of December.

Presentations

We will be sharing content from leading experts in the congenital hyperinsulinism community! We will cover topics such as medication management, CGMs, updates from the collaborative research network, and the natural history of HI. We are particularly thrilled to share cutting-edge content like a preview of the HI Guidelines from Dr. Paul Thornton and a presentation on the discovery of a new genetic cause for congenital hyperinsulinism, HK1, from Sarah Flanagan, Ph.D.

  • Sir Albert Aynsley-Green, MD, Aynsley-Green Consulting

  • Antonia Dastamani, MD, Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children

Poster Hall

We invite you to submit a poster presentation for our virtual poster hall. We know some excellent posters have been shared this year at academic and medical conferences. We want to compile this work and share new content. We will consider any HI-related content that was presented at another meeting this year or work created specifically for this meeting.

If you would like to submit a poster presentation for consideration, please submit a PDF and/or a short MP4 video presenting the work by November 15 using this LINK.  If you would like to discuss your submission prior to sending the content, please do not hesitate to contact Tai Pasquini at tpasquini@congenitalhi.org.

Other Exhibits

In addition to the sessions, we will feature booths from the CHI Centers of Excellence, biotech sponsors, and patient organizations and on-demand sessions from HI experts. During the week of December 5-9, 2022, we will have live “office hour” events in the exhibit booths. This will include live Q&A depending on the booth. The full schedule of office hours is available in the event site and is also available here
